here's my arm, swollen about 1-1/2 normal size. 20 staples.
3 hours surgery.
great doctor.
more pain than humans should know about (narcotics don't work on me... without taking enough to cause death.)
Anyway... a few of you have asked for a picture to help with healing you do. here it is.
In fact , I know that thanks to Jason,Edward, Skandar and others the healing is vastly accellerated.
You guys have no idea how grateful i am to have you.
This pain was really more than anything i could have imagined... even the doctor was shocked.... started crying when i went back to see him.... felt like a whiyte hot poker was stuck in my arm,
Now it has eased a lot. ...i will have is a gruesome ugly scar.... can live with that,

The photo of your arm reminded me of the time my younger brother broke his arm in a similar way, twice in a space of a few years....his arm looks like a shark bite with scars across the front and back...
The first time he was only 3 and I had pushed him off my parents bed because he was jumping onto my side...I was 6 then.
It's amazing how this memory has been triggered Mary Beth, and how I still have this grief and guilt about pushing him even though I didn't mean for him to fall over the edge and break his arm.
I need to work on this guilt and grief...
I'm amazed. Thanks for that :)
Anyhow, I'm sending loving thoughts your way and wish you a speedy recovery.

wow! that sucks Mary Beth, my jaw dropped when i saw it. however....thanks to Jason and some others here my first 'thought' when seeing this is...'it's already done' don't worry, your 'arm' will act as a 'teacher' for many if that makes any sense ;)

and Edward, you opened a virtual can of worms.
there is definitely something about 5. and a clue as to WHO is involved in this fall.
Peter and Judith both mentioned that i was "pushed"and i immediately felt the truth of this.... i did not stumble or trip or lose consciousness.
it was just like a big BAM from behind...
and Petr saw it as a girl...... which it seemd to him was murdered in that area, and it sounded very right on, but then not....but now i am getting another take on it...... one that really rather freaks me out, but anyway, ..... i think there was a girl involved for sure.
we will see where it all goes.

Mary Beth, you've already brought me to my knees... expressing itself to me as anger, deep and deadly. At first i was angry that it happened to you. Then i realized and understood that it was my own ego speaking to me.
And you're right about the drugs-- there are none that will ease it, just unteaching the ego to release a belief in its existence.
