Amy, beautiful question's'! i work in the restraunt business and have for some years now, and just to be straight up! people are freekin crazy! especially when it comes to food/alcohol!!!
back when i used to be a frequent goer of A.A. meetings there was a phrase that i heard so many times i'll never forget it...'and acceptance is the Key to All my problems, when i am disturbed it is because i find some person, place, thing, or situation that i do not agree with. Until i accept that Person, Place, Thing, or Situation as being EXACTLY the way it's suspost to be in this Moment i will not Know Peace.'
yes some of us are in this Movie to bitch and complain, some are here to unteach, some play football, some to be homeless, and others to be Fundamentalist Christians. now all of that Obviously implies that there is somehow more than 'One' but the Fact of the Matter is, the Principle of the Mirage is....there is not, its Only You. as Timothy Leary put it 'we are all one Consciousness experiencing itself Subjectively' i paraphrase here and that is kinda 'kinder garden for us here' but a Necessary stepping stone i do think.
remember, Everyone, Everything, Every time is 'reacting' to you because of you, it is not possible to 'inter act' with 'another' person place thing bird dog cat monkey WHATEVER without it being made by you for you to Show you. with that just sit back and smile, its all going According to plan, how do we say around here...its all scripted ;) love you!

Maggie, thankyou for your experience - changing the script isnt necessary or even possible. everything " changes" ( it would seem) constantly, and for all the right reasons. your part comes in by just living the life you want to live- everyting else just falls into place as the script/universe/you/me sees fit.

Hi, Amy, this is the first think came to my mind when I read your post and the question. I read the rest of the answers after, so here it is:
You do not have a question. All those words, :
"lack of intelligence,
power lusting,
and inconsideration of all the people around me"
is the stuff YOU MADE UP.
It is what YOU and ONLY YOU, -in your mind- see, and understand/process it that-a way. Very independent :).
I know, it sucks, but that the way dream goes.
Good think about the news is that once you really surrender to that concept, nasty bubble of negative thoughts, (that what your Q was,) just burst, and you are left laughing.
To paraphrase , "As you see others...." is ALWAYS piglet of your imagination. That's the mirror, the illusion that "you see them", -not how bad/good you see them.
The latter is just an icing we put on our own cake. For entertainment. And for a chance to use words like intelligence, power, lusting,
and consideration.
Then we look in the mirror and say Smart. Really smart. Not to chubby.

Amy, it's simple. For whatever reason you still think they're there, in front of you, moving around. That they're people. They're not there. They're not people. They're props in a movie. Mannequins. They're in one place only: your head. Begin right now living that perspective and you will eventually change your questions.
I'll be introducing some things here pretty quick that will very efficiently create both the environment and headspace to permanently modify this type "flawed" thinking. It's going to be very powerful. Another few days.

Jason knows that I have struggled with this for some time also. If "they" the other people are not there then "me" the ordinary everday perception of me, is also not there and is also just a mannequin. So where/what is this head that we are in? I have come to the conclusion that human logic cannot approach this question because it is an example of Godel's incompleteness theorem. If you try to find a closed logical consitent answer to this you end up in a logical spiral and it is this very gap at every attempt to close a circular logical path that spins out the entire universe form one concept to the next, higher and higher.
Once I create a set of spiraling concepts and give it a place in my reality then it becomes so, but those new concepts must be made to fit with the unconscious patterns that have already been laid down to create the concept of me. Start rewriting the concepts that create me and what is possible becomes more free to include whatever you I want to dream up.
The concept of Alchemy is an expresion in the phyical of that recursive open spiral that once comingled with physical that my existing concepts had precipitated, gradually overtakes and breaks the false close loops that limit what is possible in my universe.
You are what you think and what you think is determined by what at the finest level you are composed. So alchemy is like swallowing self modifying code. The gift of the infinite in the finite is that we can abstract at a higher level swallow the concept and change what was at a lower level. This concept is also part of the antidote to the illusion.
In the end we make our own red or blue pill.

I've noticed that with the unlearning and alchemy your general fear and stress seems to taper off resulting in brass balls. I find myself in my job, negotiating, wheeling and dealing per se, with very rich and powerful members of my community with no fear or trepidation because I have convinced myself that they are me.

The reason why I said there is no ‘home’ is because there is none. There is no place to go, to plan a trip, to eventually arrive in some nirvana or on the ‘other side of membrane’. Everything happens NOW. Just like our collective writings here, we all here and there, are poking pinholes in the membrane in the same moment, now, each of us find ourselves for that moment on the other side of that membrane watching back from the all and having aha! experience. Those moments of piercing even for a nanosecond and realizing the truth… that’s IS a ‘home’, and its happened at every moment of our lives, no matter whether we are aware of it or not. All what you said is really the other way around. You’ve been insane for a lifetime, just like everybody else walking on this earth and thinking about themselves, that they are sane. They think, and that prevents them completely, for a long long time, to arrive to the place when a few will realize that all is just illusion. You have a grasp of all these things, yet the illusion/dream is constructed so perfectly that you cannot understand/see it with intellect or thinking, and that’s the reason why you cannot grok as you said. You simply cannot go ‘home’ anymore. You're home. You are becoming sane. But in order to flourish in this state, you have to give up justification, any justification. For example, Copernicus (another polack,) was insane all his life, even though everybody believed that he stopped the sun and moved the earth. He never saw the illusion of it all, even though he was looking in the face of it, hard, all his life. Same goes for majority of today's hardcore thinkers. The hardest thing for humans to give up is what he knows. That’s the biggest price to pay to realize that entire library of the universe is just comedy/farce. I do realize that my point of view is pretty sharp but I don’t have any other 'choice', only decision.
I think you GROK more than you're giving yourself credit for.
And I know, you feeling groovy.
